In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Additional Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
